I feel the need, The need for speed

Max cruise speed of 205 ktas brings you closer to the legendary F14, we have all dreamed to fly… Check out this video where we test the VL3 equipped with a Rotax 915iS.

Universal flying envelope

Did you know 49% of all aviation accidents occur during the final approach or landing? We believe the stall speed as low as 38kts can help mitigate this problem.

Lands on every airport

Minimal takeoff and landing distance of 590 ft (175m). Land on grass, sand or even snow.  You won't have to choose your destination based on runway length.

Economy  Cruise:
New York (KEWR) to Miami (KOPF)

When flying the VL3 it is more likely you will need to land and use a restroom before your fuel tanks run dry.

For example if you fly a 915iS at 145ktas and 4.5 gph,  you will cover 937 nm, in 6 hours 48 minutes and burn 31 gallons of fuel.

80% Power Cruise:
Los Angeles (KSMO) to Salt Lake City (U42)

In reality a 500 nm flight is a far more common scenario.  The VL3 offers the advantage of speed over most aircraft, leaving you with less pilot fatigue.

For example if you fly a 915iS at 80% power and 9gph,  you will cover 502 nm, in 2 hours 45 minutes and burn 25 gallons of fuel.

Perfect for 100$ Hamburgers

The fuel-effective Rotax engines in combination with state of the art aerodynamics make the fuel consumption similar to your car, instead of a typical aircraft. With the most powerful 915iS engine, you can expect to burn between 8-9 gallons per hour. If you choose a different engine, it's going to be even lower.

Safety is our number one priority

 BRS parachute

The ballistic recovery system really works. It already saved 425 lives and counting. That's the reason we include this system in all our airplanes as standard equipment. Safety shouldn't be optional!

+15/-8G Tested

The airplane is tested for +15/-8G. A typical person without a g-suit can handle about 5 G before losing consciousness. Enjoy the peace of mind knowing the plane takes more than two times more beating than you do.

FAQ

Is the VL3 capable of IFR flight?

It can if you choose that optional package. Read the Brochure for details.

Will the VL3 fly upside down?

Well, technically yes, the airplane can handle it fine. Legally no, it's not certified for acrobatics. We advise you don't risk, fly safely, and follow the rules.
